by WrestleMania VII – This was such the classic WrestleMania. The ultimate good guy vs bad guy show, just one match after another. Evil champion Sgt. Slaughter was so hated in a time of Patriotism, that they had to move the show indoors because of death threats he was receiving. This card had 15 matches, and 11 of them are worth going back to watch.
Hogan defended America and walked out with the title. The Macho Man & The Ultimate Warrior had one of the greatest matches in WrestleMania history.
Ms. Elizabeth showed up out of nowhere to reunite with Savage in a touching moment. The Undertaker began the steak with a dominating win over Jimmy Super Fly Snuka.
Two big time stats stand out from this night. The first being that there were a whopping 26 WWE Hall of Famers. However, also a very sad fact, there were 19 wrestlers and valets to perform on the card that are no longer living. 24 if you count referee’s and announcers.
WM XIV – This was the night the Austin Era began as Mike Tyson helped Stone Cold Steve Austin bring home the gold. In many ways, this WrestleMania was the symbol that the attitude era was in full swing!
WM XV – This was a great WrestleMania and one where the WWF seemed to do everything right. The Austin vs The Rock main event for the title was fantastic. The undercard featured such gems as Butterbean knocking Bart Gunn out cold.
Another fan favorite from this night was the Shane McMahon vs XPAC gem that saw HHH go corporate.
The only downfall of the night was the disaster of a Hell in the Cell match with The Undertaker and Big Bossman.
WM 21 – This was the night that WrestleMania went Hollywood. A great card that was kicked of perfectly with Eddie Guerrero versus Rey Mysterio. It was also the first ever Money In The Bank Ladder Match. John Cena won the first of his 16 World Championships over against JBL.
Batista ended the night hoisting gold as well with a big win over HHH. Randy Orton had one of his better WrestleMania matches thanks to The Undertaker. Trish looked incredibly sexy in her win over Christy Hemme.
The best match of the night by far was Kurt Angle vs Shawn Michaels in what many considered the match of the year. Excellent all-around card.
WM V – The Mega Powers exploded as the shows of shows took place from Trump Plaza for the second straight year. The Savage vs Hogan classic remains one of the best title matches in WrestleMania history.
This night also featured 1 of only 3 losses in the career of The Ultimate Warrior as Ravishing Rick Rude cheated him out of the IC Belt.
This was a night that symbolized the “hey day” of the WWF with all of the oldie but goodies on the card. A total of 23 current Hall of Famers. A hidden gem on this night was Owen Hart as the Blue Blazer vs Mr. Perfect.
