The Rangers had to earn it today, but they came away with a 62-54 win.  The victory came in part thanks to 7 three-point shots sunk throughout the game. Five of those from Gracey Kingery as part of her 27-point night.  Maddy Rosado continues to hit clutch shot after clutch shot as she buried 13 points while Daylan Baker was solid again for the Rangers with 8 more.

Elyria did their best to counter as Mehl went off for 15 wile Miller lit it up for 17.  Elyria sunk 10 from long range.

The Rangers jumped out to a 14-4 lead after one and it appeared that they could coast to a win.  Kingery had 12 in the quarter including 6 from beyond the arc. It was then that Elyria got hot in the second and stepped up the intensity.  Miller had 11 in the second, including 9 from downtown.  The Rangers answered with 10 more from Kingery but Elyria won the quarter 17-15 and narrowed the halftime lead to 31-19.

Elyria stayed hot in the third as Mehl, Sanders and Avlisio combined to hit four triples and stay in the ballgame with another 17-point quarter.  However, the Rangers were every bit as hot and answered them with a 19-point third quarter including 6 from Rosado, 3 from Palcisko, 2 from Bradley. 6 from Baker and 2 from Crevda.

I also want to make a point here before we go on.  North Ridgeville had their highest scoring quarter of the game with 19 points and their top scorer didn’t have any.  That’s how well rounded they are, that’s how well coached they are, that’s how dangerous they are.  Anyone overlooking this squad is going to get stung.

Despite 16 more from Elyria, the Rangers countered with 14 of their own, to pull away with the 62-54 victory.  Tomorrow night they host the top ranked Olmsted Falls Lady Bulldogs.
