The National Premier Soccer League (NPSL), the first and only men’s league designated by USASA as a Tier 1 national league, is proud to announce that Players Development Academy has joined the league as an expansion team. The club will begin play in 2025.
“PDA is a leader in player development, and we are excited to have them as part of the NPSL family,” NPSL Managing Director Cindy Spera said. “The NPSL team will give their club a complete pyramid structure, offering endless opportunities for their players, coaches, and families.”
The club’s leadership includes PDA President Tom Anderson, PDA Boys Executive Director Gerry McKeown, PDA Treasurer Patty Seitz, and PDA Hibernians Director Brian Grazier. The NPSL team’s coaching staff will include head coach Dan Keefe and assistant Scott Loesser.
“Our organization will bring a high pedigree of youth soccer experience that expands from the state, regional, and national level,” Grazier said. “Our goal is to strengthen the conference with an exciting brand of soccer.”
PDA has experienced unprecedented success as a developmental platform. More than 100 former players have reached the professional level, and over 100 players move on to the college ranks each year. The club has won four national championships and made six national finals appearances. They consistently compete at the highest level, regularly winning league championships and earning playoff appearances.
“We chose to join the NPSL due to the league’s mission, philosophy, and vision,” Grazier said. “The NPSL has a rich, long-standing history of professionalism, high standards, and countless player development opportunities that inspire a commitment and growth to the game.”
PDA’s home venue will be Msgr. Walter E. Nolan Stadium on the campus of Notre Dame HS in Lawrenceville, NJ. PDA will also have access to the club’s main field, which was completed in the fall of 2022.
