I’ve said it time and time again, and my goodness, I’ll say it again, almost no one has a culture like Avon High School Football. It is something that pulls you in and doesn’t let go. I was personally hooked from minute one of being around it in 2015. It is because of this that Coach Elders program allows student athletes to excel when they put in the work.
One of many examples I can give you of that is his very own son, Blake Elder, who had the toughest task imaginable, taking over for State Championship winning quarterback Nolan Good. Blake has done a tremendous job in that role!
A great example of that was his performance this past weekend in North Ridgeville. The Rangers had been playing exceptionally well football going back to last season but Elder led his Eagles to a massive 55-7 road victory this past Friday night.
In the win, Elder went 8/13 passing for 184 yards with 5 touchdowns. The road for the Eagles doesn’t get any easier this week as the take on the 3-1 Olmsted Falls Bulldogs who have had this game circled on their calendar for a very long time.
Congrats to Blake Elder for being named one of this weeks Player Performance Spotlights.
