Places North Olmsted Residents Miss The Most!

Pondarosa at 25779 Lorain Rd

You could get a steak, potatoes and salad bar for under $12.  Who cares if there were still marks on the steak from where the jockey was hitting it, $12 is $12.  Also, if you just wanted the salad bar and nothing else, that was a five-course meal in itself.  Long before Home Town Buffet and Golden Corral, there was the Pondarosa all you can eat salad bar, and there was nothing like it!

Denny’s at 25912 Lorain Rd

I hated this location, and the franchise in general.  But I’m in the in minority on that one as this Denny’s was beloved before going completely downhill a few years BEFORE Covid.  How it held on so long is anyone’s guess. People loved it for whatever reason.  But yeah, it was AWFUL the last decade or so.

Toy’s R Us at 27048 Lorain Road

I get sad every time I think about this one.  Ya’ll love shopping at Target and on Amazon, but this was the greatest Toy Store in the history of the world!  How many first bikes were purchased there?  How many parents began their Black Friday shopping there?  This one is worthy of its own article coming soon, so I will stop before I go any further on how wonderful this place truly was.
