by I’ve seen brutal honesty before when it comes to marketing but Pizza Cutter in Avon Lake just took it to the next level with one of the most direct and desperate social media messages you’re going to find. The company stated this earlier this week on their Facebook page in regards to challenging economic times. I have to take my hat off to them, it is refreshing!
“We appreciate all of our customers and the support you have given us. As you have seen many small businesses are closing due to the high cost of goods and other issues. We are trying to keep our doors open but it’s been difficult and almost not worth staying open. We can’t afford to do specials any longer nor compete with the major franchises. Please support us in 2025 so we can increase sales. Thank you!”
They literally tell you they are not going to cut anyone a discount and cannot afford to do specials, then ask you for your business so they don’t go under. This is truly sad, but also remarkable and I have to commend them on their honesty quite frankly. As a small business myself I can confirm that it doesn’t matter how good your product is, right now is nearly an impossible time to turn a profit. I honestly pray for the people who run this company. I’d bet any money they work their butts off for little profit. They are honest and simply cannot compete with the giant chains. From everyone at KOS, we are rooting for you!
