Stop 23 on the 2023 Summer Park Tour took us to Surrarrer Park at 14625 Whitney Rd in Strongsville.
It was a tremendous time at Surrarrer Park in Strongsville for this tour stop. We spent well over two hours straight there with little to no issues at all. The girls had a blast and there was so much to do at the playground, that that we easily could have stayed longer if there wasn’t the threat of rain.
In true Strongsville Mustang fashion, everything was green and clean. A nice little park with two massive playset areas including one with a zip line which is always a huge hit. It even had some toddler attractions too so you can bring kids of multiple ages.
Let’s get right to the grades and don’t forget to ENJOY THE FULL PHOTO GALLERY ON PAGE TWO
Access to the park
Grade – A
Only minutes away from 71, it is easy to get too from the Pearl Rd exist with plenty of parking and right on the main road so you don’t have to worry about back streets or hunting to find it. You cannot miss it.
Cleanliness
Grade – B
No rust, nothing even chipping away, a great job by the city to stay on the maintenance. As my per usual rule however, the only thing keeping this from being an A, is those pesky wood chip/ mulch the girls just love to bring home in their shoes. Still, a small price to pay for this great park.
Things to do at the park
Grade – A
Zipline, slides, tunnel slides, swing sets, rock walls, big kid swings, bucket toddler swings, monkey bars, jungle gyms, spinny bucket things etc.. everything a kid could want!
Places for parents to sit
Grade – A
Plenty of places to sit in the shade and still have a perfect view of your child. Also, a giant pavilion right by the playground nearest to the parking lot , so you can sit in the shade and have a nice meal if you choose as well.
Bathroom Situation
Grade – C
Grateful to at least have porta potties, but never ideal. Indoor plumbing is always a must if possible.
Best part of the park
The massive variety of things to do. It truly has something for the entire family to enjoy.
Would we go back?
Yes, we enjoyed it and having our friends the Scheckel family with us, made it even better!
