Padua Dominates Maple to Continue Their Winning Streak

Today the Padua Bruins (5-1) traveled to the Maple Heights Mustangs 4-1) in an outer-conference matchup of two teams at the top of their respective conferences looking to continue their dominance.

Padua took an early lead and never looked back. Running back Marquise Hall ran up and down the field on the Mustang defense while his Quarterback Tyler Tusai was finding his receivers and keeping the defense guessing.

Hall finished the first half with 199 total yards and 3 touchdowns and Tusai was 10 of 15 for 122 yards and 2 touchdowns. Their defense also got the 2 interceptions helping stretch that lead.

They gave their team a commanding 31-6 lead heading into halftime. Maple Running Back Edward Robinson did what he could with the little room he was getting. He had 119 total yards and a touchdown giving his team their only score. Quarterback Dawon King also gave his best effort but he was under duress all night.

The Bruin defense was in his face on every play. He had 101 yards at the half, he was trying to create plays for his team all night. Hall demonstrated throughout the night that he is a force to be reckoned with. He demonstrated his ability to make defenders miss, and have the burst to break away in the secondary.

He burst through each hole with a ability to score evert time. With him dominating in the run game and his quarterback and defense playing as well as they did today, Padua will be tuff to beat towards the end of the year.

The second half was much of the same as Hall added another score and Padua was able to continue to run out the clock while shutting down Maple for most of the game. Maple was able to score again in the second half but it was to late.

The lead had already been opened and Padua had the game handled. The final score as Padua 38-12 continuing their winning streak as they try to keep it alive next week against NDCL and Maple tried to get back on track against Cleveland Heights.

The player of the game was Padua Running back Marquise Hall with 304 yards and 4 total touchdowns.
