Padua won the Parma Girls Lacrosse Holy War tonight with a 12-0 victory over Holy Name. The big win came thanks in part to hat tricks from their two leading scorers on the season, Ava Bonfili and Anna Kwiatkoswki who have both proven to be quite the dynamic duo this year for the Bruins. Other Padua goals were scored by Mackenzie Minute, Madelyn Royer, Lexi Bryan, Smilla Cohagan, Cecilia Wasil and Sophia Kucera.

The Bruins got the scoring started early as Ava Bonfili found the net only seconds into the game to spot the Bruins an early lead. Nearly six minutes went by before the games next goal, and that one came from the stick of Mackenzie Minute as the Bruins extended their lead to 2-0. The Bruins took a 3-0 lead after one, following another goal from Ava Bonfili.

Nearly 9 minutes had gone off the clock in the second quarter when Madelyn Royer found the back of the net to extend the lead to 4-0. The goal, her second of the year, came on a free possession for the feisty freshman as she slung a powerful overhand shot, swiftly through the air into the goal. Royer continues to be a star on the rise for this young and hungry Padua team.

The Bruins tacked on a goal from Anna Kwiatkowski to build the lead to 5-0 Bruins, at the break.

Again, it took Padua a little bit of time to score to start the second half, but the first goal of the half eventually came off the stick of Anna Kwiatkowski as we were 10 minutes and 8 seconds into the action.  It was a head on straight forward shot by Anna, that she absolutely nailed! A goal by Lexi Bryan made it 7-0 Bruins after three quarters of action.

The action picked up hot and heavy to start the fourth with Padua goals from Cohagan and Bonfili to blow it wide open at 9-0 with 10:18 remaining in the contest. The Bruins went on to win 12-0 to close out the regular season.
