Olmsted Falls Takes Down Avon 72-48 in SWC clash

The Bulldogs started the game up 8-0 and then after Avon cut into it, they went on a small run that would give them a double-digit lead. The first quarter would be full of action, anytime the Bulldogs would pull away Abby Liber of Avon and company would fight back to pull it within single digits.

The second quarter would be all Olmsted Falls as they would extend their lead against the Eagles. Daneille Cameron would lead her team with 14 points while Laub and Liber would lead the Eagles with 10 and 9 points respectively. Despite the efforts of the two Eagle stars, they would struggle to keep the Bulldogs three ball at bay.

As the second half progressed it would slowly but surely slip away from the Eagles. The Lead went from 10 to 20 In a heartbeat as the three-ball looked nearly unstoppable.

Avon would try to pull this game back into single digits but would struggle to rebound and stop the three balls. Cameron continued to catch fire with 22 points as she would seem nearly unstoppable for not just the 3rd quarter but the majority of the game.

As we headed into the fourth quarter The Bulldogs increased their lead by 20 points. Both teams would start to put in their subs once the lead went past 20. It would stay there as the Bulldogs cruised to a victory against Avon for a 72-48 win on the road.

The stars of the game for the Bulldogs today were Danielle Cameron who led her team with 26 points and Lauren Noernberg with 14. Scoring leaders today for the Eagles were Abby Liber with 19 points and Brooke Laub with 12.
