The Bulldogs jumped out to a 10-point lead quick behind the scoring ability of 5’8 Sophomore Danielle Cameron. She got a quick three points from a layup and the foul line before she hit two threes in the first quarter.
The three-point shots kept coming for the Bulldogs while the Rangers couldn’t do anything but watch. The Rangers would only put up a few points while the Bulldogs could not be stopped as they scored 18 points.
The Bulldogs couldn’t be stopped in the second quarter just like the first. Cameron, Paige Kohler, and Sara Glover caught fire as they kept hitting shots all over the court and distributed to all members of the team. To start the second quarter Olmsted Falls went on a 19 to 4 run that would force the Rangers to call a timeout.
The timeout would help the Rangers gather themselves and get a few points back on the board. Danielle Cameron would put a stop to that as she would hit a three at the end of the half. The teams went to the break with a score of 40-16 in favor of the Bulldogs
The leaders for the Bulldogs were Cameron with 17 points and Kohler with 9 at the half. Those were their point totals at the half. The leaders for the Rangers are Grace Kingery with six points as she was the main option for North Ridgeville in the first half.
North Ridgeville would come out of the half shooting on all cylinders as they would pull within 11 points of the Bulldogs. The Rangers would score more in one quarter than they did in the entire first half, but before they could cut the lead into single digits the Bulldogs stars put an end to the small run by the Rangers.
The two headed monster of Cameron and Kohler would combine for 40 points as they would score from all spots on the floor. Cameron would rain threes and then slice the defense with a smooth euro step that made her nearly un-guardable as the night went on. Kohler would be a reliable scoring option for the Bulldogs in the half court as her natural scoring ability and vision would give her and her teammates ways to the hoop.
This would create too much separation between the two teams as the Rangers would slip away from the game and the subs would come in. The Bulldogs put on a dominating display against a top team in the SWC.
The top scorers for the Bulldogs were Danielle Cameron with 24 points, 15 of those came from 5 threes. Paige Kohler was another impact player with 16 points. An impact player for the Rangers was Grace Kingery with 13 points in the loss.
