Olmsted Falls and the Brush Arcs traded blows all night in a fast-paced matchup highlighted by standout individual performances, but the Bulldogs ultimately pulled out a 57–50 win. Brush came out strong behind a scorching first quarter from star guard Tatiana Mason, who seemingly couldn’t miss as she powered her team to a 17–14 lead after one.
Olmsted Falls stayed afloat thanks to timely three-point shooting, keeping the game within reach despite Mason’s early dominance. After a quiet second quarter on both ends, the intensity exploded again in the third. Olmsted Falls’ Jesse Simons caught fire from deep, draining three after three with absolute confidence, while Tatiana Mason continued her steady scoring and got a boost from her sister Nylah. Both defenses tightened as well, and Brush clung to a 39–38 lead heading into the fourth.
The final quarter showcased resilience and clutch shot making from both sides. Brush opened with a 5–0 run before Olmsted Falls hit back after a timeout to talk things over. The Bulldogs went on a 7–0 run of their own to tie the game at 44 with 4:30 remaining. Moments later, Simons buried another momentum-shifting three to push Olmsted Falls ahead.
Brush responded through its leader once again as Mason drilled a baseline jumper, but the Bulldogs continued answering, fueled by Emma Schaefer’s relentless drives and reliable free-throw shooting. Up four with under two minutes left after an offensive rebound putback, Olmsted Falls held on as Brush was forced into intentional fouls.
Schaefer calmly knocked down two more at the line with 48 seconds left, widening the gap. Despite a physical final possession where Mason was knocked down with no whistle, Olmsted Falls iced the game at the stripe and closed out a hard-fought 57–50 victory.
