Olmsted Falls dominates Midview 41-10

The first quarter belonged to the Bulldogs thanks to the dominant combo of Ronti Conti and Michael Candow. Candow scored a touchdown to take an early lead in the game, this was setup by a Candow 49-yard reception resulting in a nine-yard touchdown.

Rocco Conti took over the main rush duties for the rest of the half scoring two touchdowns on a four-yard rush and a 65-yard run to end the first quarter. The first quarter score was 20-0 all Bulldogs.

The second quarter was much of the same for both teams. The Middies tried getting a rhythm going through the pass game but couldn’t find a way to finish with a touchdown. Mason Kucera proved to be Marc Reed’s favorite option for the first half with nine receptions for 59-yards.

The offense showed glimpses but failed to finish drives. This is due to the stout defense of the Bulldogs who stopped everything the Middies threw at them. The Bulldogs increased their lead with a Rosol QB keeper.

A late interception by Preston Staley helped setup a 41-yard touchdown pass from Rosol to Gavin Moore to increase the lead 34-0 to end the half.

The second half remained the same as the Bulldogs retained all momentum going forward. The Middies got their first score of the game thanks to a safety. This didn’t do much to change the fate for the Middies. Jaden Weaver who subbed in at QB increased the lead with a QB run making it 41-2 in favor for the Bulldogs.

Cameron West who entered late for the Middies at running back scoring a late 70-yard touchdown. The Bulldogs responded right away with a 96-yard kickoff return by Trent Hrabnicky. This gave the crowd late excitement as the score increased to 47-10 in favor of Olmsted Falls.

The clock ran out giving the Bulldogs not just a home victory, but their first SWC win of the season.

The Back Attack Snacks player of the game was none other than Rocco Conti with 122 all-purpose yards and two touchdowns in just one half played.
