Olmsted Falls Bulldogs Defeat North Ridgeville Rangers 50-15 on the Hardwood

Written by Nick Vasko

Olmsted Falls stormed out to a dominant start on both ends of the floor, holding North Ridgeville scoreless until the final minute of the first quarter. The Bulldogs’ defense set the tone early, forcing the Rangers into rushed, contested attempts and preventing them from ever settling into an offensive rhythm. With just 48 seconds remaining, North Ridgeville finally made their first bucket, but Olmsted Falls answered immediately as Jesse Simons sliced to the lane and beat the buzzer with a smooth lay-in to close the first up 12–2.

Simons stayed hot to open the second, drilling a three before capitalizing on a turnover with another wide-open triple from the baseline and boom goes the dynamite.  That pushed the lead to 20–2 and triggered a North Ridgeville timeout. The Bulldogs continued to roll, stretching the margin to 31–2 before giving their giving their starters some rest. North Ridgeville managed a wild and-one late in the half but Olmsted Falls carried a commanding 34–5 advantage into the break.

The second half brought more of the same with Olmsted Falls maintaining full control even as deeper rotations checked in. By the two-minute mark of the third quarter, the Bulldogs led 43–7 before turning the floor over to their less experienced players, eventually taking a 43–12 lead into the final frame.

The fourth quarter played out cleanly, and Olmsted Falls closed the book on a dominant performance with a 50–15 victory. Jesse Simons led all scorers with 19 points, followed by Emma Schaefer with 10, while a balanced supporting cast—Avery Delisio (3), Lily Krall (1), Grace Largent (5), Alexis Flowers (6), and Addison Mullen (5)—kept the offense humming. North Ridgeville was paced by Brooke Schroeder with 5, along with contributions from Reyna Balderas (3), Sara Slack (3), and Lauryn Bohannon (4). It was a statement win for Olmsted Falls, powered by tenacious defense, sharp shooting, and a full-team effort from start to finish.
