The Rutgers offense has seen some improvements behind the arm of Nebraska transfer Noah Vedral. Despite 3 TDs and 299 yards passing, Vedral has struggled with interceptions. His poor decision making has resulted in 4 interceptions.
If Vedral gets loose with the ball, the silver bullets will be all over that on Saturday.
Isaih Pacheco is the rushing leader for the Scarlet Knights with 2 TDs. Picking up yards has been a bit of a struggle though. On 28 attempts, Pacheco only gained 85 yards. Even backup running back Aaron Young has not had much success accounting for only 11 carries and 31 yards.
The offensive line of Raiqwon O’Neal, Nick Krimin, Brendan Bordner, Cedrice Paillant and Reggie Sutton will have their hands full against the tough Buckeye front seven. That is the position group to watch closely.
On the defense, the hopes of stopping OSU falls on the linebackers. It is the deepest position group with six players with starting experience. Tyshon Fogg, Olakunie Fatukasi, Tyreek Maddox-Williams, Drew Singleton, Deion Jennings and Rashawn Battle will all rotate in and out for fresh legs. They will all be crucial if Rutgers even wants close to a chance.
