#3 Ohio State marched into Happy Valley on a mission versus #18 Penn State. The Buckeyes were looking to remain perfect while the Nittany Lions were surprisingly still searching for the first win of the season.
A hot start for the OSU offense immediately forced Penn State to play from behind all night. The Buckeye defense also came out with the same intensity and the front seven was swarming to the ball.
The only offense Penn State was able to generate in the first half came at the hands of the officials and their special teams unit.
In the second half, Penn State was much improved, but Ohio State still had too much control on the game to spark a Nittany Lion comeback.
With the 38-25 victory, Ohio State improves to 2-0 and Penn State drop to 0-2.
