No one can stop Justin Fields, which is quite obvious. Can anyone even slow him down though? It will be extremely tough because he has been so locked in. The game has slowed down for him and he controls the pace so well.
Indiana has been good but it is unlikely that they will be the team to slow Fields.
Master Teague has established control as the main running back for the Buckeyes, especially in the red zone. There is still room for improvement though despite the four touchdowns. We still await Trey Sermon’s first rushing touchdown as a Buckeye.
Although the wide receiver group is loaded with young talent, Chris Olave and Garrett Wilson receive nearly all of the targets. The two stars have combined for over 40 receptions, 600 yards and 6 TDs. The Hoosiers will likely key on those two players which could open up opportunities for Jameson Williams, Jaxon Smith-Njigba and tight end Jeremy Ruckert.
On defense, the three starting senior linebackers will look to continue to dominate. Werner, Borland and Browning have combined for 42 total tackles. They have been the heart and soul of a defense that has been swarming to the ball.
Shaun Wade has been okay but he has not had the same success as Jeff Okudah did last season. Targeting Okudah was a bad move and he established a “no fly zone”. Sliding to the outside from the nickel corner perhaps took an adjustment period for the future first round pick, but it is now time for Wade to turn into the ball hawk Buckeye nation knows he can be.
