Ohio defeats St. Bonaventure in overtime, 88–83

Ohio picked up an 88–83 overtime win over St. Bonaventure on Saturday at Rocket Arena in game one of the Cleveland Hoops Showdown.

Jackson Paveletzke led Ohio with 25 points, while Javan Simmons added 17 points. JJ Kelly and Aidan Hadaway each finished with 14 points as the Bobcats shot 55.6 percent from the field.

St. Bonaventure was paced by Frank Mitchell, who recorded 27 points and 14 rebounds. Dasonte Bowen scored 15 points and added five assists, and Daniel Egbuniwe contributed 12 points off the bench.

The teams were tied at the end of regulation before Ohio outscored St. Bonaventure in overtime to secure the five-point victory.
