by NXT War Games was live from the WWE Performance Center tonight and it lived up to the hype we gave it coming in. A great show with plenty of highlights and things to take away from it. Let’s get to it!
Team Candice defeats Team Shotzi
This match was incredible as the women once again delivered and stole the show. Some of the highlights including Team Candice locking Io Shirai out of the cage and thus eliminating the advantage was a genius move not yet seen before in War Games.
Later on, Io Shirai would find a way to get in the cage as she launched herself from the top of it while wearing a garbage can. Once again, a first.
In the end, it was a smart move having Raquel Gonzalez get the win over Io Shirai as this naturally sets up the next title feud as Shirai much needed a fresh challenger for the belt.
Also, it will be interesting to see the dynamic between Candice LeRae and Gonzalez moving forward, as Gonzalez was the heavy in the relationship. LaRae will have something to say about all of this, just wait for it.
