by There were several worthy candidates for the Jenny’s Old Fashioned Popcorn Player of the Week for Week 3, but this weeks winner in the closest vote ever, is North Olmsted Quarterback Xavier Balson. He narrowly defeated Marco Cirigliano who had a performance for the ages as well in Columbia.
North Olmsted badly needed a win after two close losses to North Ridgeville and Green, and went into Amherst and got one 58-14. Balson “balled out” as Xavier threw for 387 yards, 5 TDs and ran for one more TD!
North Olmsted will look to continue their winning ways this week as they travel to take on the Buckeye Bucks as their GLC schedule begins.
