On Saturday, September 14th, the North Olmsted girls soccer team traveled to Berea-Midpark and beat the Titans 3-2. Berea-Midpark scored their two goals of the game in the first half. With less than 5 minutes left in the half, junior Kamea Witwer put a shot on goal that slipped through the hands of the Titan’s goalkeeper and into the goal. The second goal for the Eagles came in the second half when senior Lauren Becker sent a free kick into the box.
Junior Molitha Chamroeun was able to deflect the ball over the goal keeper’s head and into the goal. The game winning goal was almost a exact repeat of the Eagle’s second goal. Lauren got another free kick in a similar spot, sent it into the box where Molitha got her head on it and once again sent it over the goal keeper. The Eagles now have a record of 7-1-1. The North Olmsted girls junior varsity team also played against Berea-Midpark on Saturday and won 6-1. Goals were scored by freshman Ava Macke (x3), sophomore Cheyanne LaForce, freshman Alexis Hipkins, and junior Clara Nickison. With the win this weekend, the JV team now has a record of 5-1-2. The North Olmsted girls soccer team will be back in action on Wednesday, September 18th as they face Bay for a home conference match-up. The JV is set to start at 5pm, with the varsity following at 7pm. |
