by Upon hearing about JO-Ann Fabrics in North Olmsted being included in their 300 worldwide closures, our reporter Peter James took to the North Olmsted location at 26337 Brookpark Rd and interviewed some of everyone’s favorite employees, giving them a chance to say goodbye!
Here are just a few of the heartfelt goodbyes. ( names may have been changed for protection )
Sally or as the gals called her, “Big Sal” had this to share, “I loved working here and heartbroken to hear of the closure. It was the perfect post retirement job to pick up 10-15 hours a week and just feel needed. ”
Betty shared her favorite time of the year to work there , “No doubt about it, it was during the Christmas season each year. So many family’s counted on us and we counted on them as well. We will miss them more then they know, they made it special. ”
June who worked their a whopping 37 years had this to share, ” I started here in high school, and it this job has been with me through 4 husbands, 8 cats and a whole lot of fun! This job kept me happy when so many other things didn’t.”
