Football
Municipal Stadium in Cleveland
A football game at the old stadium is quite a different experience then a baseball game. For starters the bleachers were all open during a Browns game. And you cherished that two by six inch wood bench that was your ticket. And unlike baseball if you hid behind the plate seats during a football game, those were probably the furthest seats to the field you could get… and a goal post blocking your view.
Three Rivers Stadium
Again, a much different feel at this stadium as to when it’s a Buc’s game. The first and third base seats actually moved and some removed to fit the football field. I went to Three Rivers Stadium for the final Browns Monday night football game through AAA. A bus trip, game ticket, hotel and meal all for $200. It was a close game, but the Browns ultimately lost late in the fourth quarter on a Kordell Steward scramble.
Ralph Wilson Stadium
This fan base and city deserve so much better! This stadium instantly reminded me of a low level college football stadium. Very, very basic, no extras! The parking lot atmosphere was better then the game atmosphere. And Western NY has some weird alcohol laws on Sundays! Bars couldn’t sell, but the store across the street could…After noon! And this place is in the middle of nowhere!! Yikes!!
M&T Bank Stadium
Back in 2012 I went to the Browns Thursday Night football game to kickoff a weekend stay in Baltimore. If you like Prince or the color purple then this is your spot! Nice brick work on the outside of the stadium. Mild fans as it wasn’t very loud nor was it a sellout. It shares the same parking lot as Camden Yards.
LP Field In Tennessee
I believe I’m still a part of history as the Browns came back from 25 points down to win on the road! I think that is the largest regular season road come from behind victory. Right at of Broadway Street (Nashville’s Strip) and cross a bridge and you are at this stadium.
Without question, it’s the biggest Browns backers party I’ve ever went to! The line to get in was an hour long wait, with some people saying there were 600+ people in attendance. And it goes without saying that Nashville has some of the best night life in America!
University of Phoenix Stadium
The big toaster and it looks like just that! I thought it was a neat well constructed stadium. A very friendly seating stadium. Lots of walkways, big concourses and plenty of A.C.! Not a ton around, but we did find a pub after the game. We saw the Bears vs Cards game. But stayed in downtown Phoenix as the nightlife was much better.
Century Link Field
This my favorite football field to date! That crowd is electric!!! Never a dull moment. I attended the Thursday night NFL kickoff season opener after the Seahawks won the Super Bowl the year prior. Awesome design of this stadium and the Hawk’s Nest is a great touch.
They even have a Seahawk fly from one end of the stadium to the other! The “12’s” they are no joke and a real nice view of downtown Seattle skyline! Plenty to do in Seattle, but once again grab your wallet!!
Heinz Field
If you are a steel fan, this structure is for you. This stadium also shares it’s field with the Pitt Panthers. And you can tell by mid-November it’s terrible and not just the towels. You could see grass divots by the second quarter. I thought the scoreboard was small and only on one end of the field. I’ve also saw U2 twice at this stadium.
Paul Brown Stadium
If you are a fan of concrete, this is your stadium! A touch above Ralph Wilson Stadium and the fans are few and far between. One of the smallest tailgating I’ve ever seen. They were all under the bridge packed in tight and it stunk! I wasn’t very impressed.
Arrowhead Stadium
A very unique shaped stadium! And, though, I was only there with limited fans (Covid so they only let 12,500 fans in) I could see this place being very loud at full capacity. It shares a mammoth parking lot with the Royals Kaumann Stadium. There is one hotel across the street, but other then a Taco Bell you are looking at a few exit highway trip to anywhere with entertainment.
The BBQ in Kansas City is just OK. St louis and Nashville I though was better. As the Browns lost a heartbreaker, I learned one thing while there, you can’t give up a 3rd and 15 to a backup QB!
Cleveland Browns Stadium
OK I’ll be a homer, I like this place! And I’m glad that there’s no roof. Just wish there were more positive memories here. A former 13 year season ticket holder from “99-11”. It’s unfortunate that the tailgates are better then the games! Live the orange seats, but let’s leave the elf off the field.
Soon to be:
Bank of America Stadium Weekend of September 11th!
