Mogadore tops Southeast, 47-6, moves to 2-0 in PTC

Mogadore, Ohio – The Mogadore Wildcats dominated from start to finish on homecoming night, defeating visiting Southeast, 47-6 at Memorial Stadium.

It didn’t take long for Mogadore to get things started, as they recovered a fumble off the opening kickoff. One play later, Zeke Cameron found Corey Lehner for a 22-yard touchdown reception. The ensuing PAT was good, giving Mogadore a 7-0 lead just 19 seconds into play.

On the ensuing kickoff, the Wildcats elected to go for a squib, and would recover, setting up shop once again. Aaron Rumschlag capped the drive with a two-yard touchdown run, increasing the lead to 14-0.

After a Southeast punt, Rumschlag found his way into the end zone once again, from one yard out. This pushed the lead to 21-0 at the 6:09 mark of the first quarter.

Austin Constantine capped another Mogadore drive with a one-yard touchdown run. This would increase the Wildcat lead to 27-0.

Southeast got on the board late in the first half when Joe Sharish found Jack Muldownley for an 11-yard touchdown in the back of the end zone. After a brief review by the officials, the score was confirm, making the score 27-6 with 2:56 left in the half.

Mogadore responded, as Layne Miller returned the ensuing kickoff deep into Southeast territory. Zeke Cameron found Corey Lehner for a 32-yard touchdown reception. This score would push the Mogadore lead to 34-6 with 2:03 left in the half. The margin would stand as the teams entered the halftime break.

With 10:19 left in the third quarter, Cole Reese had a three-yard touchdown run to pad the lead to 40-6 and trigger the running clock.

Conner Lehner scored from four yards out with 6:07 left for the final margin.

Mogadore, now 6-2 overall and 2-0 in the PTC, hosts St. Thomas Aquinas on Friday, October 13th to continue conference play.

Southeast, now 6-2 overall and 1-1 in the PTC, hosts Rootstown on Friday, October 13th to continue conference play.

The senior caught a pair of touchdown passes for 54 yards combined. He also had 34 yards rushing on three carries.
