by What an exciting first trip to Merl Bunts Park in Lakewood tonight. It combined some of the playground staples we’ve come to know and love, including a childhood cult classic attraction I haven’t seen at a playground in more years then I care to remember. Yes, that is right, the “spinning wheel of injury” made it’s first appearance on the McKee Family Summer Park Tour!
Honestly, this park is great, it’s clean and there are plenty to do. It features several places in the shade for parents to sit as well. It features everything from double slides, monkey bars and a saucer swing, to a tennis court, circular climber and 4 swing sets.
The only drawback to the park was the same drawback several have in Lakewood and that is, street only parking and no bathrooms. Still worth the trip!
