The Mentor Cardinals have had a tremendous regular season as they wrapped it up this weekend with a 41-7 victory over rival Strongsville.
A big factor in their success this season has been a well rounded offensive attack. Leading the way is quarterback Ian Kipp. Kipp doesn’t have any shortage of threats however, tailback Riley Coughlin and Wideouts Hutch Baird & Evan Harper are just two of his many explosive play makers.
One thing is also for sure when it comes to the Cardinals attack, even when they don’t punch it in, they just need to get it within 50 yards and Ace Kicker Andrew Smith is going to put it through with ease.
They are every bit as dangerous on the other side of the ball with lights out Linebacker Brandon Lewis just waiting to sack a QB or crunch a runner.
Ian Kipp and the Cardinals big night this past weekend were more than enough to secure him the Jenny’s Old Fashioned Popcorn Player of the Week. He racked up 349 yards passing with 6 touchdowns along the way.
Congrats to all of the Cardinals and good luck in the playoffs!
