AFC Division winners
Kansas City 14-2 :This team is about as powerful as it gets on offense. Despite the shaky defense, they play the Raiders and Broncos twice each, so you can mark four wins on their tally right there!
I see them going 14-2 and proving that last year was no fluke. Kareem Hunt was not the reason for their success and they will show that early and often!
Baltimore 11-5 : Settle down Browns fans, I hate the Ravens just as much as you do. However, a solid defense and one of the best coaches in football should make up for what may be a very unpredictable offense. I’ll say this and I’ll stand by it, this will be the only year of sustained success for LaMar Jackson.
He will have a great start to the season to give the Ravens a huge lead in the division. By December, he and the Ravens will show cracks, but it will be too late for the Browns to snatch the Division.
Houston 13-3 : Yes they are fresh off some strange trades. Yes they are without LaMar Miller at running back, and yes they have not proven they can win in the playoffs. I understand all of that, but it is not stopping me from picking them to possibly go all the way this year!
They are loaded at QB and receiver as well as defensive line and linebackers. This team is jacked and ready to compete. Watson is the real deal!
New England 11-5: The greatest quarterback in NFL History Tom Brady will be without his favorite target (Gronk) this season, but it won’t matter.
They have a soft schedule and play in the worst division in all of sports. You can chalk them up to a 6-0 record in their division, and then 5-5 the rest of the way. BOLD PREDICTION ALERT: Tom Brady will retire after the season is over win or lose.
Wildcard Teams
LA Chargers 11-5: With Gordon, this team goes 13-3 and competes for the division, without him, I have them at two less wins. Seasoned QB, excellent wideouts and a great coaching staff.
Also, a powerful defense that often gets overlooked and flat out embarrassed the Browns last year. This team is damn good and needs to be taken serious.
Cleveland Browns 10-6: They can thank Andrew Luck, as I originally had them as the odd man out with the Colts sneaking in. Listen, OBJ and Landry together with Baker throwing them the ball and Chubb out of the backfield almost sounds to good to be true. The offense may be one of the most potent in franchise history.
But until they can show me that they can rush the QB and stop the run on defense, this teams scares me. Mix in a rookie head coach, an extremely shaky kicking situation and subpar at best offensive line, and this team has ALOT of question marks.
They have boom or bust written all over them and people really need to chill with the whole 13-3, 14-2 Superbowl talk. Baby steps people, baby steps.
They will start the season 4-4 and people will come back to reality quickly. They will finish 6-2 for a good 10-6 season.
