Sophomore Grace Quinn led the charge for the Blue Streaks as they defeated Avon 15-5 at The Nest Monday Night. , She scored 6 goals, followed closely by senior Kristina Fedorova who added 3 scores, and sophomore Lily Shim with 2. Sophomore goalkeeper Lucy Webb was a formidable presence in her first varsity contest, gathering 11 saves and contributing significantly to the defense that held the Avon offense in check throughout the game. The win, improved the Blue Streaks to 9-2 on the season.
The win took the team’s overall record to a formidable 9-2. Avon will look to bounce back Thursday night as they travel to SJA.
The Blue Streaks plan to carry this momentum to their next challenge, which will see the team face off against Avon Lake on the Karnatz Family Field at Magnificat High School on April 24th at 5:00pm.
