  1. Toledo 2-0

Toledo is the only team in the conference to have an undefeated record. They have had one of the easiest schedules to start the season. They head to Ohio State next week to hopefully challenge the Buckeyes.

  1. NIU 1-1

The Huskies started off slow but made up for it with a solid performance to end the game. They lost to a good Tulsa team on the road, Huskies jump a place due to the great effort.

  1. Miami (OH) 1-1

This is a game that they were projected to win, this win helps them make the jump to third in the rankings. With no Gabbert it will be interesting to see how the offense plays around Aveon Smith.

  1. Western Michigan 1-1

The Broncos scored a touchdown in each quarter of playing showing how consistent they can be. Ball State looked promising all game, but the Broncos were able to pull through late on the road.

  1. Central Michigan 0-2

South Alabama came into and embarrassed Central Michigan on the road. Central Michigan was a favorite at home and had a very slow start. They drop from second on the power rankings, A win against Bucknell can boost them back up.

  1. Kent State 0-2

Not much to say here for the Golden Flashes, they have had the hardest schedule in the conference so far. Week three is the home opener against Long Island University, a must win to boost moral.

  1. Ohio 1-1

Despite the blow out loss against Penn State there were promising things. The offensive and defensive lines showed glimpses of being a dominant unit. Rourke made goo decisions and took pressure off of his line. The score was bad, but there are a lot of things to look forward too.

  1. Bowling Green 0-2

This was a game that could of belonged to the Falcons, they took a loss to a beatable opponent but put up 57 points. If this team wants to win games, they need the defense to improve.

  1. Eastern Michigan 1-1

The Eagles led the ball game for three quarters, two of those being shut outs. They let five unanswered touchdowns go by them in the third and fourth quarter to lose the game. Just an ugly loss for Eastern Michigan.

  1. Ball State 0-2

Ball State was a team I ranked low to start the season. They may have lost to Western Michigan, but they have caught my attention after a tough first week. This team can really rise the rankings

  1. Akron 1-1

They traveled to Michigan State and the result was a shut-out loss. They have another tough one as they face the ranked Tennessee Vols for week three.

  1. Buffalo 0-2

A six-point loss to Holy Cross is not a good thing to have on their record. It’s going to be a long rebuild year for the Bulls.
