Dyaisha Fair scored 19 to lead Buffalo past Western Michigan 63-49 to advance past the opening round of the MAC Tournament.  Buffalo followed in the path of the 1 seeded Toledo Rockets who won earlier in the day as well.

Fair was helped out tremendously by Summer Hemphill who attacked the boards to rip down 13 boards.  She also scored 5 points while dishing out 4 assists as Hemphill had quite the game.  Dominque Camp helped Buffalo as well with 10 points her own in the win.

For Western Michigan, their biggest struggle came from behind the three-point line, as they went ice cold and only shot 4 of 24 from beyond the Arc.  They were paced by Taylor Williams with 13 points, but no one else on the roster could crack double digits.

Western Michigan hung tough for a bit, only down 14-12 after one.  It was in the second quarter that the Buffalos got red hot and extended the lead to 33-18 by half as Western Michigan went ice cold.

Buffalo used 9 big points by fair on their way to outscoring their opponents 19-6 in the quarter and ending all doubt. It only got worse by the end of the third quarter as Buffalo led 49-27 as both teams would then go to their bench to finish it off.
