They excelled in all three of those phases to 18 of 25 shooting from the foul line and 5 of 10 from beyond the arc in the win.
Akron was paced by Jordyn Dawson with 22 points and 4 assists. Strongsville Mustang alumini Regan Bass scored 16 in front of her hometown fans. Layne Ferrell had 14 while Lonasia Brewer scored 11 points.
Bowling Green actually led 23-20 after one as they were paced by Amy Velasco who had 7 in the quarter and would go on to score 19 to lead the Falcons. Bass and Dawson would then lead the way for the Zips in the second quarter as they would go on to double up the Flacons in the quarter 16-8 to build a 36-31 halftime lead.
The Zips would go on to cruise from there for the victory. They will now play second seeded Buffalo on Friday.
