- Toledo 6-3 +1
Some may argue that Ohio should be number one team because they beat the former number one team on my board. A lot of people believe Toledo still has the best talent compared to the other teams in the MAC. Toledo controls their future the rest of the way.
- Ohio 6-3 +1
This win showed that Rourke and his Bobcats are not messing around. This is their highest ranking this season, at the start of the season they were predicted to finishes third in the east at best. All this team must do is continue winning and they will play in Detroit for the title.
- Buffalo 5-4 -2
This loss is a small step back for the Bulls, the goal remains the same for Buffalo. They need some help from Miami this week to keep their Detroit dreams alive. They still need to win out on top of a Miami win against the Bobcats.
- Ball State 5-4 –
Ball State pulled off a tough gritty win against an incredibly talented Kent State team. There is a path to Detroit, and it all starts Tuesday with a win over Toledo. It can be done but they will need to slow the game down and keep the ball out of Dequan Finn’s hands.
- BGSU 5-4 –
It was ugly… but it was still a win. BG had to scratch and claw to get a win over Western Michigan in a game where they had to rely on their defense to take home the win. If Buffalo loses either this upcoming week or next, BG will have an open window to take the top of the MAC East.
- EMU 5-4 –
Hard to punish the effort of this team, they fought hard and had a chance late in the game to take the top of the West be fell short. They have a chance, but it is still slim, right now the goal for the Eagles should be to get bowl eligible.
- Miami 4-5 +2
Not an ideal year for the RedHawks, their MAC East hopes are far away but bowl game aspirations are still there. This team needs to win out, but it is possible if Gabbert can unlock is full potential and will his team to a bowl game.
- Kent State 3-6 -1
Kent State may be on the outside looking in when it comes to a bowl game, but they can play spoiler for other teams. With a talented roster like this, this team can ruin a few seasons. They play BG and that is exactly what they can do, Wednesday should be a fun and stressful game for fans from both teams.
- WMU 3-6 -1
This was a must win for the Broncos, the offense struggled against the Falcons like they have all year. Western Michigan still has a chance to win the West, but it will take a lot of good fortune to come their way.
- CMU 3-6 +1
This was a good win for the Chips that keep them alive, but they have the worse odds of any other team. If you’re rooting for the Chips to win the West, you need a lot of crazy things to go your way.
- NIU 2-7 -1
This was not the year anyone thought the Huskies would have after winning the MAC and being the favorite coming into the year. Right now, for NIU you just must hope everyone stays healthy and prepares for next year.
- Akron 1-8 –
With two games left there is no reason this team cannot win at least one to match their total of last season. They have a tough challenge against a team looking to be bowl eligible. DJ Irons is looking to prove he can get results with his team and now is the time.
