Beloved Parma Restaurant to Close Its Doors For Good

It was senior night for the North Ridgeville Rangers, who hosted their southwestern conference rival the Midview Middies. After a tight first quarter, it was all Middies the rest of the way. Led by Leah DiFranco and her 25 points, the Middies won by a final score of 65-51.

The game started off with a nice moment for Rangers senior Gabby Thibodeaux. Thibodeaux, who is injured and in a walking boot, was able to score the first points of the game on her senior night. The Middies then stormed out to take a 12-6 lead. However, It wouldn’t take long for the Rangers to erase the deficit. The score would wind up tied at 14 at the end of the 1st quarter.

Leah DiFranco and the Middies then came out firing in the second, as they started the quarter on a 9-0 run. DiFranco had 13 points by halftime. With solid contribution from freshman Leila Morgan as well, the Middies went into the half leading 29-19.

It was more of the same for Midview in the 3rd quarter. This time they scored 11 straight to extend their lead to 40-19. DiFranco continued her hot shooting and the lead eventually grew all the way to 27 points.

North Ridgeville did put up a great fight in the 4th quarter by scoring 26 points. Led by Brooke Schroeder and Lauryn Bohannon, the Rangers were able to cut the deficit to 14. That would be the closest they would get, as Midview won by a final of 65-51.

Midview coach Brittney McNamara-Cole is happy with how her team is playing with the season winding down. She said after the game “We’ve had a rough go with injuries this year, but we’re at the right time where everyone’s playing at their highest, and we’ve got everyone healthy.”
