Lakewood Quarterback Avery Holt Wins Jenny’s Old Fashioned Popcorn Player of the Week

If the producers of Disney Films needed their next big “Feel Good High School Football” movie, then they need look no further than Lakewood Stadium this past Friday night where the Lakewood Rangers and Clearview Clippers put on a classic!

Ranger quarterback Avery Holt pulled off a feat we may never see again, he threw for 309 yards with 4 passing touchdowns.  He rushed for 61 more yards and another touchdown, but saved his best for last as the lights shined bright.  Again, in true Disney fashion, the Rangers called for the “Philly Special” which led to Holt catching the game winning touchdown pass as time expired.

Kudos to their placekicker who put the final nail in the coffin for the 41-40 win with the extra point.  Oh, by the way, their kicker is AVERY HOLT too! As I said, Disney Films needs to be all over this game.  To recap, 4 touchdowns passing, 1 running and 1 receiving to go along with 5 extra points including the game winner.
