Kee On Sports Magazine Volume 1: “The Genesis”

Impact Bound For Glory took place Saturday, October 23rd from Las Vegas.  Overall, it was a horrendous card with zero surprises.  A full recap and reaction from Vince McKee is posted below.

WWE
WWE

Jordan Grace wins over John Skyler vs. Crazzy Steve vs. Fallah Bahh  vs. Chelsea Green vs. Alisha Edwards or Tenille Dashwood for the Digital Championship.

Reaction – Terrible concept for a title with a pointless intergender stipulation.  Although this the same company that made Tessa Blanchard their World Champion, soooooooo yeah.

Heath Slater & Rhyno vs VBD

Reaction – Okay, so Rhyno and Slater have reformed a team that was mildly popular in WWE for a very short period of time.  Okay, moving on…….

Deonna Purrazzo defends her Knockouts championship against Mickie James

Reaction – This was the five-star classic I thought it would be.  Purrazzo continues to be the MVP of this company and the one they should make the face of their brand.  Mickie James proved once again that she can absolutely go in that ring.  Love this match, and keeping the belt on Purrazzo would have been preferred, but at the same time, completely okay with the title switch.

Trey Miguel defeats Steve Maclin vs El Phantasmo for the Vacant X Division Championship

Reaction – This division remains everything the WWE Cruiserweight division wants to be.  Another great match and Trey Miguel should have a nice run and make a good champion.

The Good Brothers retain their Tag Champions over Fin Juice & The Bullet Club

Reaction – Can we just except the fact that The Bullet Club just doesn’t play well in the states.  Fin Juice started off hot but has been used as jobbers ever since and it is clear, The Good Brothers really do not have a good opponent in this division right now. Impact should have broken the bank to bring someone in for this card to give them an actual challenge and didn’t.

Decay lose the Women’s Tag Team Championships against The IInspiration

Reaction – It may be a short-term fix for a failing division but I’ll take it. I still think Peyton Royce would have been much better off with AEW in The Pinnacle.

Moose wins the Call Your Shot Gauntlet

Reaction – This solely happened because impact was unable to reach a deal with Braun Strowman to do anything, so they gave the win and cheap heat to the monster they already had in Moose. He recently signed a big contract with them so this isn’t a huge shock.

Christian Cage defends the Impact Championship against Josh Alexander and loses.

Reaction – This was great!  In a night that overall failed to deliver, atleast they attempted to go the right way with this one.  They put the belt on a guy who is with Impact full time, and is loved by the fans.  Alexander fits the mold an could be the face champion this company has needed for a decade.

And then, they had Moose sneak attack him and cash in his title shot to win.  Thus making a bad night, even worse.
