A message from the publisher

I fondly remember riding my bicycle several miles to the store with my little legs pumping away to get up the steep hill that separated my house from Lorain Road.  It didn’t matter that I only had $4 or $5 to my name each week, I was going to spend it all on the Pro Wrestling Magazine of my choice!  Reading wrestling magazines, The Baseball News, Sports Illustrated and even Baseball almanacs as a kid truly sparked my love of reading, and then eventually writing.

Sure, I also had no shortage of Wrestling VHS tapes along with The Best of the Superbowl highlights video. Who could forget Dazzling Dunks and Basketball Bloopers hosted by the late great Frank Laydn with Marv Albert?  I had all of them and watched them over and over again until the tapes actually wore out!

But even as fun as those VHS tapes where, it was the magazines I would sneak out of bed and read late at night when I was supposed to be sleeping.  I remember my love of writing and reading really blossomed when I joined the Junior High and then High School Newspapers.  There was no better feeling then seeing your name in bold above a feature.  The dream was to write one day, for a newspaper or magazine.  This was of course before 95% of media turned to digital.

As much as I miss good old fashioned paper print, I’m a realist, and today’s reader wants everything on their phone or tablet, and they want it right now!  It’s with that notion in mind that Kee On Sports Magazine was born.  It will have a little bit of everything in each issue.

You will notice on the second page with the table of contents that I encouraged my writers to go a bit outside of the box. While the magazine is mostly sports, we take a couple breaks from the norm and have fun doing it.

From the NBA, NFL, High School Football and Guardians, to hunting for vintage toys, WWE talk and Food reviews, this first issue is packed!  We even have our current interns talk about the program while our female employee’s talk about the evolution of women in sports.

Need a history lesson?  Well, have no fear, as Jason Hannum is here to tell you all about the history of the penalty flag.

Without any further ado, let’s turn the page and get right to it!

Sincerely thank you!
