The unthinkable may have happened over the weekend as the WrestleMania status of WWE Raw Women’s Champion Becky Lynch is now in serious jeopardy heading into the biggest show, and perhaps the biggest rematch of the year.
Earlier this morning, Peter James of the Varsity Sports Report leaked out that it is almost a sure thing that Becky Lynch is out of her WrestleMania Title defense against Bianca Belair. This is due to a serious throat injury suffered at the hands of Belair this past weekend at the much-hyped MSG show.
With Becky out, and the belt vacant in this scenario, the WWE would need a new title contender to step up and challenge Belair for the vacant title at WrestleMania. That top contender appears to be Sasha Banks, which is another reason why they added Liv Morgan and Rhea Ripley to the tag title match at WrestleMania.
This now creates security for the tag match as well, in case Banks needs to pull out of the tag title match with Naomi to then challenge the EST.
Time will tell how it all plays out, but for now, it is one heck of a rumor. Sasha Banks would love a rematch on the big stage with Belair and had this to say via earlier on twitter, is it a sign, or she just talking about a video game?
