Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny Trailer Review

2023 is loaded with substantial blockbuster movies coming. Marvel movies, DC movies, and other well-known franchises are getting much-awaited sequels. But a character who has not been on the big screen since the summer of 2008. The man with the hat is back, Indiana Jones makes his long-awaited return to the big screen in 2023, with the now-titled Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny. Last week the trailer was realized and Brazil’s Comic-Con and a review is for this hotly anticipated movie

This trailer dropped two weeks ago. The same trailer leaked online following the D-23, which is Disney’s convention. The trailer opens with a monologue given by Sallah, one of Indiana Jones’ closest friends. Sallah has not been on screen since 1989’s Indiana Jones and The Last Crusade.

Sallah is talking to Indiana Jones about how he misses the adventures, to which Jones replies with those days are long over, Sallah disagrees, and the trailer shows interesting images over which there is much speculation over.

One of the shots of the trailer shows a de-aged Harrison Ford on a train, that scene has been confirmed by director James Mangold to be set in 1944, while the present day for this installment is 1969.

The trailer continues where we hear Jones talking about how it is not so much what you believe in, but how hard you believe in it. Then there is a shot of Jones picking up his hat and the Indiana Jones theme song kicks in as there are more shots from the train scene set in 1944, along with shots from 1969.

The trailer closes with a classic Indiana Jones moment, of Jones being in with an undisclosed gang, as he uses his signature whip to threaten them, but they come back with gunfire.

The trailer was a great way to announce to audiences everywhere that Indiana Jones is back. The trailer did not give much of the plot away. There was nostalgia, along with the new.

It is great to see that there is one more adventure coming for Indiana Jones, the character is much deserved a proper send-off, as Ford has confirmed in interviews that this is the last go with the archeologist.

The film was announced in 2016, and the initial release was set to be in the summer of 2019, but due to delays, COVID-19, and the original director Steven Speilberg, left the project. The film now has its real release date, June 30th, 2023.

It will interesting to see as the months come what the marketing of this film will be. We can expect at least one more trailer, but for now, the trailer we have was a great way to announce to the world that Indiana Jones is back.
