Hudson, Ohio – The Hudson Explorers rallied from a two-goal deficit in the second half and thanks to a Ryan St. Pierre goal, defeated St. Joseph Academy, 10-9, to advance to their first final four since 2021.

Fittingly, it was the Penn State lacrosse commit who got things started, scoring 52 seconds into the game. Mackie Stickler followed up with the first of her two to put the Explorers up 2-0. Sarah Scott scored a pair of goals to tie the score at 2 with 12:07 left in the half.

The start of the second half belonged to Iris Polly. The Quinnipiac commit scored a pair of goals off assists from Sarah Scott and Elise Larsen, respectively, and SJA took the lead, 7-5.

After a Mackie Stickler response, Polly added her third goal at the 18:35 mark, putting the Jaguars up 8-6. The Explorers knotted the score after a pair of goals from Emma Palmer and Kennedy Kerrigan.

SJA took the lead once again thanks to senior Ellen Martin’s second goal, coming with 9:18 remaining.  Hudson responded a short time later, as Kennedy Kerrigan scored for the second time off an assist from Emma Palmer.
