Highland Uses Stifling Defense To Halt North Ridgeville

Highland was the better team on this night winning 39 to 30.  Highland will move on to take on Magnificat Friday for the District Final.  Grace Madison, and Madison Miller continued to produce for Highland in the win.

For the Rangers it was Grace Kingery that was raining down long three pointers. She hit three of them in a row from all different spots on the floor in the opening quarter.

In the second quarter Highland turned up their defensive intensity, and really started covering the opponents with more vigor and aggressive defensive effort.  Grace Kingery still continued her scoring and finished with four points in the second, but that’s all the points the Rangers would muster.  Meanwhile Highland got hot and took a 18-15 lead at half time and never looked back.

Late in the fourth quarter, Highland slowed the game down even more, sensing that they had the game under control.  They were running clock on North Ridgeville, and still scoring just enough to get the win.  Grace Kingery showed up with a big game, she had 19 for the contest but the Rangers needed more.
