by Taysom Hill, who is perhaps the last Gimmick Style player in the NFL, destroyed the Cleveland Browns today as the Saints stomped the Browns 35-14 today in New Orleans. The incredibly overrated Cleveland Browns defense allowed 21 straight points in the fourth quarter in the loss.
How pathetic was this loss you ask? Taysom Hill, a guy who works in short stints but has never been long-term effective in the NFL, had the game of his life with 138 rushing yards, 3 rushing touchdowns and 8 catches for for 50 yards. He also returned kicks, threw passes and completely exposed Jim Schwartz to be a novice defensive coordinator at best.
The Browns, got a ridiculous 395 yards out of Jameis Winston, with 2 touchdowns and no turnovers, and still lost. Dawand Jones who had stepped up as their new left tackle, is likely done for the season with a torn ligament in his ankle. Nick Chubb looked great with 50 yards on 11 carries until they decided to stop giving him the ball in the third quarter.
The Cleveland Browns are now 2-8 and the veterans will begin to sit out and make business decisions. The season is over folks, and perhaps a cleaning house of Head Coach Kevin Stefanski, OC Ken Dorsey and DC Jim Schwartz is on the way.
The Cavaliers are 14-0 however, so Cleveland sports fans have that going for them……
