Has AEW Ruined the Legacy of Owen Hart?

Are Tony Khan and Martha Hart Ruining Owen Harts Legacy?  We think so, and here is why.

Owen Hart was a legend in WWE and one of the greatest heels in wrestling history.  He was involved in some of the greatest angles and feuds in 90’s WWE history.  Hart was in the center of so many great memories and moments.  His widow Martha has every single right to hate the WWE, and not want anything to do with them, but as Mark Henry said during his 2018 WWE Hall of Fame induction speech, “it is his birthright!”

Instead of allowing the WWE marketing machine and incredible video library do right by the family and honor Owen Hart in every way possible, they are forbidden to even mention his name.  Why rob the fans of properly celebrating his legacy the way it should be?

Tony Khan doesn’t care, he is literally taking advantage of a tragedy and cashing in on a career he had nothing to do with building.  Making matters even worse, he sounds like a complete goof and so does Martha every time you place a microphone in front of either one of them.  Their hatred and bitterness for Vince McMahon and the WWE is ruining a legends memory with awkwardness and insincere comments.

Again, if Khan was truly in it for the right reasons, he would have a tournament for Brodie Lee, a man he actually dealt with.  The vintage, “Calgary Stampede” clips are not cutting it.  Honor the man properly and allow WWE to do it.

The bottom line is that Owen Hart never once set foot in an AEW ring and had he still been around when AEW was created, I’m pretty sure he’d have nothing to do with it.  AEW does ALOT of things great, including in ring work that would make Owen proud, but it is “gimmicks” like these, that come across forced, awkward and fake!

Khan is out of his league here, and the whole thing just comes across so insincere he needs to stop before fans turn on him even more.  If you really want to honor Owen Hart, please allow the WWE to do it properly.  If Khan is that desperate for attention, don’t be shocked if the Eddie Guerrero tournament is next.  Heck, I wouldn’t put a Chris Benoit memorial past this guy either.
