Sweets and Geeks to Host Their First Ever Collectible Expo
At Great Northern Mall
Medina, Ohio – April 9, 2025 – Sweets and Geeks is excited to announce their first-ever Sweets and Geeks Collectible Expo, in collaboration with Great Northern Mall on Friday and Saturday, May 9th and 10th. This two day event, with free admission, will feature over 100+ vendors, anime voice actors, a cosplay contest, a Pokémon trading card event, and much more. The event is perfect for fans of all ages. “We’ve seen incredible growth since opening at Great Northern Mall, and our fans have been asking for a new event. We’re thrilled to bring this exciting expo to Northeast Ohio,” said Dylan Malinak, event planner of Sweets and Geeks.

Anime Voice Actor Guests
On Saturday, May 10th anime voice actors Aaron Dismuke and Bryson Baugus will be available for meet and greets and signing autographs throughout the day:
- Aaron Dismuke is known for many popular roles such as Alphonse Elric in Fullmetal Alchemist, Tamaki Amajiki in My Hero Academia, Senku Ishigami in Dr. Stone, and many more.
- Bryson Baugus is known for his roles as Shoyo Hinata in Haikyu, Nagi in Blue Lock, Gepard in Honkai: Star Rail, and more.
Vendors
With over 100 vendors showcasing everything from anime merchandise to sports cards and Pokémon collectibles, there’s something for every fandom. You’ll find artists, small businesses, and companies from all corners of the pop culture world.
Cosplay Contest
In collaboration with Rubber City Cosplay, Sweets and Geeks will host a Cosplay Contest with a prize pool of over $1,000! Categories will be divided by age: kids (12 and under), teens (13-17), adults (18+), and best in show. The contest will be judged by Rubber City Cosplay.
Pokémon Trade Event
Pokémon fans can trade cards, games, and other Pokémon merchandise in a special trading event. Plus, all kids in attendance will receive a free gift from Sweets and Geeks.

“Our goal for 2025 is to expand our events, and when Sweets and Geeks approached us with this idea, we were on board immediately.
