It was time for overnights as we head towards the grand finale of this years, “Golden Bachelor”.
Peg went first, and as always, they had a lot of fun. Mel very much seems at ease around Peg. He admits she can be guarded at times, but it never gets in the way of them having fun and they do so again here by rising a Doon Buggy to start the date. Peg is used to being in control and doing whatever she wants to do, she admits this has been a learning curve.
After a heart to heart conversation near the beach, they adjourn into the evening where they enjoy a moonlight dinner under the stars on the beach. Peg keeps pushing for Mel to go deep, be open, be vulnerable and honest. She needs him to be emotional and show all of his sides. They share plenty of laughs together at the table but fail to reach that deep personal connection before the rain hits.
Peg is anxious to get to that next level in their relationship and thus is all for spending the night together in the fantasy suite. Although it is not said clearly, it is pretty apparent that had sex. Clearly implied by the producers coming back from commercial with a shot of the Birds and the Bee’s, also two turtles having sex. Wow, that was subtle but classy.
The date with Cindy started off well enough as they enjoyed some time on the boat over a few drinks. From there, they decided to swim with sting rays, which Mel is skeptical about and I don’t blame him. Just stupid, who in the Hell wants to touch a deadly animal with zero protection, no thanks!
As they come back from the last commercial break, Cindy is ready to spill her guts to him and put everything out there, she had opened her heart and wants to hear how Mel truly feels about her. The dinner and drinks part is a little awkward as Mel refuses to fully open up and Cindy seems to be upset.
It ends with Mel not committing to anything as the show went off air. What will happen next week and this ended very abruptly.
