A look into Cody Rhodes vs Solo Sikoa

Summerslam is around the corner and this year’s card is looking stacked from the ground up. A lot of people are excited for Punk’s return to live singles action vs Drew McIntyre. Some are eager to see where the Judgement Day’s story goes with Liv inserting herself in the mix. But, this card could possibly be producing a classically booked match with Cody vs Solo. This new bloodline story has been interesting and the way it has been booked has kept things fresh for the Smackdown brand. In this brief article, I will explain why I believe this match will be one you simply can’t miss.

Solo Sikoa’s character improvement

Since WrestleMania, Solo has taken over the alpha role and gained his charisma back from his early NXT and Indie days. During the original bloodline, he was the bodyguard-like character that also sustained a losing streak throughout the latter days of the faction. This made his character almost seem redundant, he never actually served a purpose outside of looking tough and taking the brunt of the attacks for Roman.

Once Roman lost to Cody at WrestleMania, this opened the door for him to show the world that he could be a dominant leader as the “new Tribal Chief” and he has shown that. He has brought in Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa and the Samoan Werewolf, Jacob Fatu. These additions, along with forcefully kicking Paul Heyman out of the group; while standing tall over some notable names like Randy Orton, Kevin Owens and Cody Rhodes. His character has gained the respect of the fans while also getting the heat he deserves, simultaneously.

Jacob Fatu’s unpredictability

It is fair to say that Jacob is the nutcase of the family. He is extremely unpredictable and volatile to everyone around him that is not apart of the bloodline and this has been grounds for some great television since his debut. He has attacked a good number of superstars and made them look like their attacks meant absolutely nothing to him. One thing we can count on seeing at SummerSlam is Jacob Fatu doing something otherwordly and giving the fans a show.

Roman Reigns

That’s it. Simply, the Tribal Chief…

The high possibility of his return has many people anticipating this match. It all makes sense for him to come back at a time where someone he looked at as just his help in the OG Bloodline, Solo Sikoa, could possibly beat the man that he lost to at WrestleMania 40. Most are on the side of him coming back to stop Solo from getting the win against Rhodes, which will ultimately start a civil war between their family. On the other hand, a Roman Reigns return in general is good enough for the wrestling world. In this case, he will more than likely be transitioning into a babyface. And this time around, it should work. In comparison to his last time, trying to be babyface where it was forced and not received well as the Big Dog. This instance will produce a more natural feel for him in the babyface role and the wrestling community is excited to see what the future holds for this entire storyline.
