Five Former WWE World Champions Headed to AEW.

Drew McIntyre

His contract is up right after WrestleMania, and his path to AEW appears to be wide open based on the fact contract talks are far apart with WWE.  He still feels slighted that he never got a world title run in front of actual fans, and this one may not seem as far off as people may realize.

Dolph Ziggler / Nick Nemeth

With his in-ring ability and charisma, he is the perfect fit for AEW as they will know how to use him.  Look at how well Adam Cole is doing with them, Nemeth would be but like a fish in water upon arrival.  If he isn’t mentally checked out, he can do some big things.

Edge / Adam Copeland

This one, despite all the hoopla and heavy rumors, I’m still not 100% sold that this will happen. His loyalty seems to be firmly with the WWE and his passion to keep wrestling doesn’t appear to be there either.  I just don’t know about this one, but the talks that he is getting closer and closer to signing, continue.  His best friend doing big things there currently, very much helps the odds of him arriving.

Jinder Mahal

The Modern Day Maharaja has done little to nothing in over 5 years since winning the World Championship in 2017.  I cannot imagine he is on the WWE roster much longer.  AEW could be a fresh start for him to see if he has any legs left in his career.

Johnny Gargano

This former NXT champion has completely stalled out on the WWE main roster.  Midsize guys have done well and become World Champions in AEW.  Perhaps the time to jump ship, is now.
