Five Bad Booking Decisions From AEW Double Or Nothing 2024

The Bang Bang Gang defeat Death Triangle to retain the AEW Trios Championships

Takeaway – The biggest thing coming out of this match is Juice Robinson returning to help the Bang Bang Gang retain.  There was so much hype for Jay White when he arrived, and it has been bust city.

Toni Storm defeats Serena Deeb to retain hew AEW Women’s Championship

Takeaway – Wow, Toni Storm survived a 15-minute beatdown from Serena Deeb.  Storm got in little to no offense as she sold her butt off to get Deeb over.  Storm is slowly starting to become a babyface as the angle gets further and further over with the fans.  One memorable moment was when Mariah May tried throwing in the towel.  I only think it is matter of time before Tony Khan con gets desperate and calls for the full-on lesbian angle between May and Storm to begin.

Orange Cassidy defeats Trent Berretta

TERRIBLE BOOKING DECISION #2

Takeaway – Lousy match with a terrible finish.  AEW had nothing to gain by Orange Cassidy winning, but sure enough, booked him to do so. And just like that, any momentum Berretta had is gone, no one will take him serious as a heel.  One step forward for AEW, two steps back.

The Learning Tree retains the FTW Championship

Takeaway – Oh that Learning Tree, how could you not love Chris Jericho?  Whatever angle he touches, he gets over and it is pure gold. He may look awful out there, but he gets the job done.  It shouldn’t be much longer until Hook is in WWE.  Oh, and can anyone actually pronounce the other guys name in this match?  No, oh well, who cares. Moving on…
