Elyria RB Kevin Jordan Wins Jenny’s Old Fashioned Popcorn Player of the Week

There were many fine performances this past weekend in High School Football, but perhaps none bigger and better than the record setting night from Elyria tailback Kevin Jordan who made history in their win over Amherst. Jordan broke the Pioneers rushing record with an impressive 350 yards. He had 31 carries, 5 touchdowns, a 2-point conversion and averaged 11.3 yards per carry.

Elyria scored a major touchdown last Spring when Jason Fox showed up to work as the new Head Coach of the Varsity Football team.  Fox, has been a visionary and it was only a matter of time before things began to click in Elyria this year.  They had come close a few times, but this past weekend at home against Amherst, all that hard work came to fruition in the big win.

Next week the Elyria Pioneers look to add another win as they travel to play the Midview Middies.

This week’s player of the week is sponsored by Jenny’s Old-Fashioned Popcorn. You can find their flavors anywhere popcorn is sold, including Giant Eagle and Marcs.  Visit them on line at http://Jennyspopcorn.com or in person at 38727 Taylor Pkwy, North Ridgeville, OH 44035 They have everything from butter, cheese, caramel and everything in between at this popcorn paradise!
