North Olmsted Varsity Eagles watched the game slip away early and couldn’t recover in a 10-0 loss to Westlake on Wednesday. Westlake scored on a single by #13 and a single by #44 in the first inning.
The North Olmsted Varsity Eagles struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing Westlake, giving up ten runs. Westlake got things started in the first inning. #13 singled on a 1-0 count, scoring two runs. One bright spot for North Olmsted Varsity Eagles was a double by Dominic Costello in the first inning. #33 led the Westlake to victory on the mound. The pitcher surrendered zero runs on three hits over five innings, striking out five. Alex Meyer took the loss for North Olmsted Varsity Eagles. The righty went five innings, allowing ten runs on 15 hits, striking out one and walking zero. Austin Leudtke, David Chalkwater, and Costello each collected one hit to lead North Olmsted Varsity Eagles. |
