Domenic Clary’s 2022 Mock Draft

I wasn’t going to make a mock draft but after seeing my KOS counter parts making all their different mock drafts, I thought I could make a first-round mock draft too. Also, how can I be in the KOS draft show and not post my own mock draft. I will only be doing the first round and will only break down a few picks, so here we go.

1 Jacksonville Jaguars: Aiden Hutchinson, EDGE, Michigan

I am not that high on Hutchinson, but I do think he is a no brainer for the Jags. Walker has gotten a boost as of late, but I think the Jags have had their minds made up.

2 Detroit Lions: Kayvon Thibodeaux, EDGE, Oregon

If Thibodeaux is as good as advertised, he can revamp this Lions team as they look to make a big jump,

3 Houston Texans: Kyle Hamilton, S, Notre Dame

4 NY Jets: Drake London, WR, USC

Drake is the best WR in the draft, Wilson is a close second, but Drake is as a close as a sure shot as it gets.

5 NY Giants: Evan Neal, T, Alabama

6 Carolina Panthers: Kenny Pickett, QB, Pitt

Matt Rhule had Pickett committed to Temple five years ago before he ended up going to Pitt. He is trying to save his job and get a QB that can get him a winning record. Pickett is tough and a natural leader, Rhule and staff has his name highlighted in bold print.

7 NY Giants: Travon Walker, EDGE, Georgia

I originally had Walker going in the top three, with Thibodeaux getting big interest from the Lions I have walker falling to the Giants.

8 Atlanta Falcons: Ahmed Gardner, CB, Cincinnati

9 Seattle Seahawks: Desmond Ridder, QB, Cincinnati

Ridder is a safe QB pick, he makes the right reads, looks good in the pocket and has a high ceiling. Most importantly he has a higher floor than Willis.

10 NY Jets: Ikem Ekwonu, T, NC State

  1. If Olave is still on the board at 20 I think Pittsburgh will take him. They have to look ahead at receiver, I can’t see them paying Dionte Johnson…and Claypool has been in the doghouse..look for him to be traded….Pittsburgh loves OSU guys…

    1. That seems almost like a classic Steelers pick but I think they have their eyes set on a QB. With all the pro day visits to QBs it feels like they will reach for a QB.
